The City of Manhattan welcomes your input in
the 2010 City Budget process. As you may already know or
may have read, the City will be facing a number of challenges as
it begins budget deliberations for 2010 and beyond.
|
|
These budgetary challenges have become even
more difficult given the recent recession facing our national
economy. Fortunately, our local economy has proven to be
more resilient with sales tax data as well as building data
indicating that our community is still growing.
|
|
You will notice above, that both sales tax and
building data are hyperlinked leading you to additional data
that may be helpful and informative. Throughout the Budget
Information Center you will find many such hyperlinks -- all
intended to add to your understanding of the City's annual
budget process.
|
|
In many areas, you will be able to "drill
down" to additional data. But, at the bottom of each page
you will have the option to return to the page you were once
visiting or to "jump" to other areas of this website for new
information. On most web pages, you also will have the
option to enter comments or make selections based on your
preferences as an interested citizen into the 2010 City Budget.

We hope you enjoy learning more about the
City's annual budget process and, again, we welcome your
comments and insight as you navigate through this website.
